About time we had some decent Games on Demand prices!

I'll be geting a few of these, though it's worth noting the sale doesn't actually start until the 19th; I just went looking for them and was wondering why they were still full price.

The points price varies by region (UK is often a little bit higher, I've noticed - 1840MSP instead of 1600 for some games, for example), but you can check out the prices of each of those games now by going to their xbox.com web page to buy them, choosing Microsoft Points as the payment option, and dividing the MSP price shown by four.

For example, Conan is listed on the GB Xbox site as 1440MSP, which should be 360 points next week. Dark Void is on the GB Xbox site for 1840MSP, which should be 460 points next week.

Thought about posting this myself yesterday but decided it was probably best to wait until UK prices had been confirmed? Saves any confusion and guesswork imo.

Some decent cheep games for gamerscore junkies but I think I've already had the points from the ones that are easy and very few of those offer any kind of replay value after completion really.

Yup. Same as with the Vita sale I'll update this once prices are confirmed next week.

I'll be picking 4 or 5 up I think. Played all the easy GS ones but 2 of the ones listed (Bolt & Meet the Robinsons) I haven't 1kd yet.

(updated it to say 75% off instead until we know how much they are) I guess they'll be between 400 and 460MSP then cuz most of them are £14.99 on xbox.com :) (weird enough that Kameo for example is 1600MSP and Bolt is 1840MSP at the moment even though they're both £14.99!) Either way, still cheap.

You read some of the comments on Major Nelson's blog page? http://majornelson.com/2012/06/14/june-19-25-games-on-demand-sale/

Really think MS need to step up their game, lot of support for PS+ since the update? The value of the games I've downloaded from that put these to shame :)

No need to tell me. But we all know MS have lost the plot.

Yeah online gaming may be good on live (not that I care cuz I rarely play online) but compared to ps+, live gold is pretty crappy value now..

Xbox live is still the best online/multiplayer experience imo. Depends what you want to pay your £30 a year for - a few older titles free/discounts on online titles or the better online experience?

I was surprised so many people were slating Xbox live in the comments. I've said this before but of all the free PSN+ titles, there's none personally I really want to play. Likewise of the titles in this XBox Live list here, there is nothing really I want to play lol

No doubt the PSN+ titles are newer/better games but go back to my point, depends what you pay your subscription for.

The PSN+ free games package was definitely a good marketing move for PSN+ though, much better than negative publicity from PSN getting hacked

If you play online a lot, LIVE is still a good service and worth the money. If you don't then...not so much :)

All depends on how/what you play really.

Sales live, most are £3.99 (By card/paypal) or 480msp

  • Weejok
    Tue Jun 19, 2012 12:29 pm

Not been through them all but most seem to be £3.99 which then goes to 480msp, though Kameo & Viva Pinata: Party Animals show 400msp even though they are also £3.99. Conan was cheapest I saw at £2.99 (again 400msp)

Is there any chance anyone can list which of these games are the easy gamerscore ones? I've seen it mentioned in the comments but nobody has said which ones are easy for it yet?

    Thanks in advance :)

Bolt, Cloudy With a Chance,Open Season,VP:Party Animals and Surf's Up are all easy completion, shouldn't cause too many problems apart from the odd annoying achievement. Dark Void was pretty easy to 100% for me although the last cheevo glitched and wouldn't unlock :( Not too sure about the rest tbh

Just looked at the US only ones. Meet the Robinsons you need a VPN to download and Tornado Outbreak you need a NTSC console for. Getting both...Couldn't try Bomberman as I'm not interested in that.

This compared with Little Big Planet 2, Infamous 2 and Darksiders amongst other titles.... think I'm going to shimmy over to my PS3 :P
